Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-07-22. These terms are a contract between you and Canyon Data Insights (10318 Viretta Ln, Los Angeles, California 90077). By creating an account or using Blockjay, you agree to them. They are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes are subject to the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

The service

Blockjay is a hosted, server-side spam filter. You connect one or more email accounts; we classify incoming mail, move suspected spam to a server-side quarantine, and give you one app to review and correct what the filter decided. Filtering never deletes your valid mail — it sorts it, and you decide what to delete; quarantined spam is deleted automatically 60 days after it is caught (or sooner if you delete it).

Your account

• You must give accurate signup details and keep your password (and any second factor) secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [security contact email] if you suspect unauthorized access.
• During limited Early Access, access is approved manually and seats are capped; we may decline or revoke access at our discretion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• connect a mailbox you are not authorized to access;
• use Blockjay to break the law, infringe others' rights, or send unsolicited bulk mail;
• probe, overload, or attempt to circumvent the service's security or tenancy isolation;
• resell or sublicense the service except as expressly permitted.

Your content

Your mail is yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to fetch, classify, store, and display it back to you as part of the service, as described in the privacy policy. We claim no other rights over it.

Plans, Early Access, and billing

New organizations get an app-managed Early Access period (no card) that runs in monitor mode. Paid plans and allowances are described on the pricing page and may change; pricing shown before launch is illustrative. Billing, where applicable, is handled by our payment processor (see sub-processors).

End-user licence

Subject to these terms, Canyon Data Insights grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Blockjay applications (web and any native client) for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the software except where that restriction is prohibited by law. All intellectual property in the service and its brand remains ours.

Warranty and liability

Blockjay is provided "as is." Spam filtering is probabilistic: it will occasionally misclassify mail, which is exactly why every decision is reviewable and reversible in the app. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using Blockjay and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or to protect the service. On termination, your data is handled per the retention and erasure rules in the privacy policy.
